A friend of mine was obsessed with that film as a teen. Something to do with a topless woman on top of a mountain

The friend in question always was a little strange and to be fair, George always seemed to have a twinkle in his eye.

Clint hasn't done a good film since he got acted off the screen by that ape. You talking about 'The Rookie', with Charlie Sheen? ;D

Then again, 'that film with Clint and the ape' could be any number of films that he made with Sondra Locke...

I think were all gonna put down dead mans shoes , Oldboy, Eternal Sunshine..., shit i can't remember what was out when so heres some from the past few years, George Washinton ( please watch this Shane ) Love liza, Fear X, Gerry, Elephant, Grand Theft Parsons, Jesus's son, the music of chance...... I've lost the plot and gone back years sorry guys i could go on forever, if any of you get chance see some of these. Yo, JT. I see you have 2 Gus Van Sant films there....nice one. He is such a gifted director with a complete style he can call his own. And Oldboy is a great film too (is the UK cut censored? I thought it was but my mate rented it and from what he said, it sounded like it wasn't). Who on here digs Asian (HK, Japan, Korean) movies then? It is all I buy basically, but there are a few western gold nuggets I pick up along the way.

And Oldboy is a great film too (is the UK cut censored? I thought it was but my mate rented it and from what he said, it sounded like it wasn't). Oldby was passed uncut in the UK. From the BBFC's website: When submitted to the BBFC the work had a running time of 114m 57s. This work was passed with no cuts made.

That's good to here there is a sound appreciation of my first love here. The version submitted to the BBFC could have been self censored. This is the stickler with the BBFC, distruibutors can gain uncut status this way. Oldboy rocks...I have a sexy 4 disc copper box in the gift wrap...awesome...totally uncut. I wonder what the US remake will be like. Check my review on www.thesleepingshaman.com

No, I know acouple of the guys that work for Tartan and they assure me that it was submitted to the BBFC in its uncut version.
The only scene that caused trouble witht the BBFC, was the squid-eating scene and even that got through unscathed.
I can't see the remake being as ballsy as the original. It's way too off the wall for mainstream audiences and the final twist would have them hurling in their popcorn.
