Just saw the second episode of this new sitcom by Steven Merchant and Ricky Gervais.
Last week I liked it, and I'm glad that I enjoyed this episode even more! It has a nice relaxed feel to it I find and none of the humour is forced (pretty much as you would expect from writers/directors of The Office).
What does anyone else make of it. I won't start banging on until someone else gets involved with the discussions too.
I know Shane has said he likes the Office before. I wonder what he makes of Extras?

I missed it to but loved the first ep, the uncompatble party scene was classic "oh like herman munster"

"Don't say clumpy"
Too bad you both missed Ross Kemp, Vinnie Jones and Shaun Williamson (Barry from Eastenders) all in the same episode! Plus Steven Merchant made his first appearance as Andy's agent.
It was a kind of 'who's the hardest' between Ross and Vinnie story.
"Super Army Soldiers"

I managed to steal er i mean borrow it from a friend who taped it, it was so funny Steve Merchant was excellent "theres not much call for a short 45 year old bloke you given it five years don't you think its time to pack it in" Ross Kemp was very funny i was surprised he really seem to get it and run with it that first chat between him and gervais I was wetting myself i hope this does as well as the office i think it's as good.

Episode 4... Les Dennis!
Mr Gervais had been bigging this episode up somewhat in the press... and quite deservedly so I reckon!
Mr Dennis was a top notch naturalistic actor. After the programme had finished, I thought to myself that you never at any point thought that you were watching Les acting a part. All the three previous celebrities in the programme were great too, but you always felt you were watching them acting. If that makes any sense then I'll eat my hat.
Although.. was a nude Les Dennis strictly necessary? Ha ha.

I wasn't impressed at first as nothing seemed to happen...the first couple of episodes were pretty much the same...it picked up with the Ross Kemp episode and then the Les Dennis one was hilarious. Fair play to him for being able to laugh at himself. Last week's one -with Sam Jackson - was good, especially the whole racism thing. But why bother having Jackson in it? He hardly had anything to do.

Having seen the last episode this week I'd defintely say the Les Dennis episode was the best. Kudos to the guy for sending himself up so wickedly.

I'd probably agree that the Les Dennis episode was the best, but the last episode with Patrick Stewart was a close second.
Patricks film script! haha... "You know like my character in X-men that has special abilities and can control things with his mind? Well, it's about having that skill in the real world. So I would see an attractive woman down the street, and I'd make her clothes fall off. She'd be trying to cover up, but it's too late, I've seen everything"

I read today in (of all things) the Australian version of The Big Issue that the ABC (Aussie equivalent of the BBC but with less money) has bought Extras but has not scheduled it yet. So I will now read these posts with anticipation instead of envy!!

Patrickcoyle said "if you're familiar with BitTorrent...", in the Extras 3 thread but you fellas could help me out here and actually tell me what it is! I logged on to uknova.com because he mentioned it in his message but I was not enlightened. Do I need broadband to access this piece of magic? Hope not because I still have dial-up (sad, deprived face).
