i know this topics seems to have moved on from mike leigh to F1, and nosebleeds.. but back to mike leigh for a second, i dont know the director havnt seen any of his films, but what i do know is that shane isnt a big fan of his films. he said so when he did an interview at my sixth form college he said somthing like "i'm not syaing he hasn't done good films but he has no experiance of the working class life, so he doesnt know what its like" so yeah just thought this was a bit relevant.
what films HAS mike leigh directed? im suprised i've never heard of him, anything really worth a watch by him?

mike leigh is middle class looking at working class people which can seem a little patronising but he's good at getting humour out of peoples vanity and foibles, and his improvisational style seems to add some realism to his films i'd recommend abigails party (it's a bit dated but still makes me laugh) and life is sweet for one a little more serious try secrets and lies, avoid topsy turvy at all costs it's about gilbert and bleeding sullivan
