The Magpies are off to a steady start better things ahead me thinks. Put your "Brollies up" at the City Ground as i can see the rain clouds heading your way. ha ha ha.................The WALLY with the BROLLY........CAN IT GET ANY BETTER? I was away when we played Notts Clifton. What was the score?

Both sides of the tyne are unbeaten at the minute. Gateshead seem to be terrifying the local population by jointly leading the Blue Square Premier whilst Newcastle are already 7 points to the good and, shock horror, are due to sign a left-back who isn't French.

I'm not sure about Gateshead. They actually finished fairly strongly last season and, unlike Newcastle, they've got a free-scoring striker. Defensively, Newcastle have started well but I'm never really sure where the goals are coming from.
Cabaye's started well although he looks to be racing with Tiote to see who can rack up the most bookings. Obertan's quick but can't control his legs.

I think Tiote is a half decent player also like Ben Arfer and Jonas

I used to have a lot of time for Schteve but he looks like he's going to be one of these managers who will mix unbridled success with considerable failure.
We're playing them on Tuesday. Can't wait. Ben Arfa's comeback, hopefully.

Has Mad Dog found a place to live yet? Or is he still getting his head down in your trophy cabinet?
