And it looks like the rain clouds are ready to open and with no Brollies in place it looks like all at the City Ground are going to get soaked ha ha ha ha
Please Please let Roy Keane get the job

Do you all still look away, shy like, and just pretend Cliftons delusional rantings are meant ironically? Bless him, i do like a debate that involves no logic or sense. Roy Keane did quite well with sunderland if memory serves, if not quite with them tractor fellas. Forest & Clough, and their achievements are still hugely respected in the football community, in fact i cant imagine anyone who claims to like football disliking Clough in any way. As to whether he was a drunk, so what? James Brown was a wifebeater, and Joe Strummer was a poshboy, but they were still pretty good at the jobs they did....

There's something about those early Clough years/achievements that appeals to the romantic in footie fans. Regardless of how fans feel about the money in the game (good thing or bad), it's very unlikely that a Forest-like team will ever do that again

If Keane did "Quite well at Sunderland" why isn't he still there? Joe was at best middle class but never a Posh Boy" Clough liked in football maybe but what about him attacking his own fans.Drink driving and taking bungs?

clif, its like shooting fish in a barrel. Although, your ability to read english does not quite match your ability to write it (even if you are writing the same thing over & over and convincing no one but yourself) and mores the pity, its simple , do you consider yourself a football fan or not? Theres a very simple litmus test here and its a 100% bullet proof.... Whats your opinion of the merits of Diego Maradona?

Yes i am a football fan. Yes i go to games mainly The Magpies but i'm also a keen Liverpool supporter and get up to Anfield a couple of times per season.
As for Diego Maradona i've been lucky enough to see him play live at the old Wembley i think it was 78 or 79 we beat um 3-1. (Keegan was superb that night)
Maradona is the greatest player that i ever saw "Live" apart from Georgie Best who was also a footballing genius. Both of course let there off field activities spoil there sporting records but both were world class footballers.
Why do you ask for my opinion on Maradona? Do you know him? Is he your Football hero? Do you dislike him? Or is it his lifestyle?
"100% Bullet proof"..............Is it something to do with those shootings he was involved in?
Confused by your question.

Interesting answer. its an easy way to find out if someones a football fan in the broader sense or just a supporter who knows nothing and slates the nearest rival because we are tribal and find it difficult to rise above our nature. Or just boringly patriotic, when it comes to Maradona, anyway...must go will continue later...
