We all love a good sitcom! What are your favourites? Mine are:
Trailer Park Boys 15 Storeys High I'm Alan Partridge Father Ted The Royle Family
Anyway, I thought we could do with a standalone sitcom thread. We can quote ourselves happy! Could also be a good place to flag new and forthcoming sitcoms!
Anyone watched that "Not Going Out" new sitcom? It was better than your usual BBC mess, but wasn't good enough to pull me back for episode 2.
Anyone watching "Dogtown"? I haven't got on to it yet, but I hear good things. I think you can watch full episodes on the BBC3 website. Looks a bit League of Gentlemen-ish, but doesn't look like a total rip-off or anything.

15 Storeys High - 'Is this the fair? Doesn't look like it, but I feel like I'm getting ripped off at a funfair. If I come back tomorrow, with this all be gone? There'll just be a few hot-dog wrappers blowing around, and a pregnant teenager looking for the bloke who runs the waltzers.'
Bottom - 'Yeah, we're in the luck alright. I mean, imagine if Dick the barman hadn't spotted us filling our glasses from the drip tray. We'd never have scarpered down that back alley and bumped into Dodgy Bob McMayday - the most violent travel agent in the world.'
The Fall And Rise Of Reginald Perrin - 'Come. In!'
Red Dwarf - 'You can't frighten me - I'm a coward, I'm always scared!'
I'm Alan Partridge - 'Terrestrial TV is a dead duck, and who watches a dead duck? No one, not even its mum. She just flies away, depressed.'
Black Books - 'Yeah, I think you should wash your beard. Then shave it off, nail it to a frisbee, and fling it over a rainbow.'

Spaced (can't believe no one has said this one yet!) Peep Show Young Ones/Bottom Red Dwarf (first sitcom i ever got into was forever renting the VHS' when i was a child good times) When The Whistle Blows... (ha ha, just a joke one ) I love british comedy the most, can't think of any american sitcoms i really like, i do like scrubs, but i don't really watch it much. I also think Arrested Development is very funny, but never really wanted to buy the DVDs

What the devil is all that about?!?! Rising Damp is ace (if that has any connection to your rambling). So is Fawlty Towers of course (Flowery Twats)

Rising Damp, Till Death Us Do Part and Porridge... or am I barking up the wrong JTree? So I guess the fat man with glasses is 'Luke-warm' (Christopher Biggins).
