Thought it was about time we had thread specifically for gigs (we have one for everything else). Its been a quiet time gig wise for me recently but i just got tickets for Ministry's last ever tour and the My Bloody Valentine reunion.

Not been to any gigs for ages either.... but I am eagerly awaiting the double-bill of The Dillinger Escape Plan and Between The Buried and Me at the end of this month!

I went to see Morrissey on Saturday night. The guy is getting on a bit, it has to be said. Good gig but way past his prime. The crowd were pretty nuts by the end climbing on stage and stuff, I was in the thick of it, lovely stuff....

Hoo boy... My last concert was Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello last November; but I've got three coming up in March: I've already bought tickets for They Might Be Giants' gig in Omaha on the 1st; and I hope to catch Jonathan Richman in Omaha on the 15th and in Lincoln on the 16th.

what'd they play? They played Cassandra Gemini when i saw them in March 05. For those who don't know, its a 30 minute long song thats at the end of Frances The Mute, their second album. A song that i had to wonder whether they recorded it in bits, but after they played it live in front of my face, i had no doubt. It was amazing.

Me and Mrs. Wife off to see 'Siouxsie' later this month. N. Booked my tickets for Benicassim last week. This Siouxsie lady is playing at some point, think ive only heard a bit of her Banshee's stuff and My Bloody Valentine are headlining one of the days. Sun, Sea, Sand and awesomeness.

As to 'Siouxsie' - her latest solo album is an absolute belter, so we're really looking forward to going to the gig at Mancs. Academy... last one we went too was a few years back for 'Fear Factory'. Motley Crue, London 2005.
Fifteen years I waited, and they didn't disappoint.
Best night of my life, bar none... and I had all my clothes on, too!
