To Mr Shane Meadows, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Trevor Hardy and I am a stop frame animator. I have my own small animation studio, here in the UK, FoolHardy Films'. I know you must be busy so I will keep this short. I am very keen to discuss with you the opportunity to make a puppet animation using your writing talents. I know that with my skills as an animator and your writing, we could make a fantastic short. I am not looking for loads of funding from you or all that old bollox, I have a studio and the ability to make it myself, I just want your input and writing talent...What do you think? Please let me know. Trev Attachments:

Hey Trev,
Worth a punt I guess, but don't get your hopes up obviously. There's definitely a lot of this sort of thing that crops up on here, and I guess from your point of view it feels as though you have put the idea out there so it's time to sit and wait to see if there's a response.
Why don't you reach out to more struggling story writers who are in a similar position to yourself, who need a break, and such a collaboration might be just what you both need? The site is definitely going through a quiet spell at the moment as there isn't too much concrete Meadows news to report, but check out the film making secton of the forum. Post links to some of your work in that section too if you like. There have definitely been a few writers on the site with stories to spare for other film makers to make.
Good luck with your work. The image looks like you have a really cool looking style.

Thanks Dave,
That's really helpful, Thanks Mate.
Shane's stuff is so fresh that I think an animation that is made from a 'live action' writing style is gonna be really new and refreshing in the world of animation. So many animators use writers from comedy backgrounds, Father Ted, fast show, wallace and gromit that type of thing, because they think it's animated so it has gotta be 'dumbed down', I think shanes writing would really compliment a good gritty British animation. Council estate Britain in the 80's maybe?. In fact thinking about it, I should just write it myself. He He....If anyone has a script out there that suits this, please let me know.
Cheers
