Ok First off, The Trailer looks shocking. And due to this I was very reluctant to go see it when my mate asked me. After telling him I'll only go if he buys me a ticket we headed off to the showcase in Coventry.
First half an hour - I wanted to die.
The rest of the film untill the end - Pure Bliss!
A real suprise for me! I thought I would hate it, but no! Kept me gripped, made me jump and most of all entertained!
Wont enter my top 10 films, but still worthy of a watch! I like it!

Looking forward to seeing The Descent. I liked the director's previous effort, Dog Soldiers. A good horror laugh I thought, and nice and British. No American teenagers running about and talking shite.
I like that the writer/director (I will bother to find out his name one day) has focused the film around a group of women. Seems like an interesting change. However, are there any dodgy segments of 'woman's talk' (whatever that might be.. haha .. but I'm sure you know what I mean.. stereotypical arse).

GREAT FILM a modern horror without cgi or mtv style directing! good old fasioned horror with fab bulid up of tension and brilliant real performances didn't have the tongue in cheek Dog Soldiers had much more serious but it all worked so well, had the gore , had the scares but also had credibility fab horror they way they should be made.

I thought this was gonna be shit half hour in but once it kicks in its brilliant. Beats the hell out of anything of this ilk Hollywood has churned out in the last few years.

Yeah I really liked The Decent! Although I prefer Creep. Has anyone else seen it? I think it is quite different to your typical cliche horror/thriller effort. However it still follows some of the usual same old same old stuff. And it is British too which is also a good thing!! x

LOL anyone seen the ads or actually seen the film "The Cave" aparently a complete american rip off of the decent, but with a man protagonist and aliens How long ago were either of them made? Is the thing they have in common that they are both set in caves? I haven't seen The Descent, went to the cinema the other day and saw The Business (alright, not much cop) and Red Eye (which was better, but not amazing). Creep I saw on DVD. It didn't scare me at any point, it was an interesting film though. I thought the woman was very miscast. The creep himself was good. And I only realised the other day that the homeless girl who gets killed was played by the same actress who played Frank Skinner's daughter in his awful sitcom.
