shit i need to get hold of one of those, i assume its dvd. i dont own any of his films yet cause they are rarely less than 20 quid each, was it a one off or in a sale i need to go now but im stuck at work.
Worse thing about seeing cache is that i couldn't rewind any of it, all i can say is the last scene is very hard to know what you are supposed to be looking at, and i think there a a few things you need to see.
Also dont read anything and wait for a very loud gasp from everyone in the cinema.

aah funny games, i studied this film for shocking cinema for A level film, i personally loved it, and i can't say my reason for loving it cos it'd ruin it for those who havn't seen it. I found it very refreshing that there was cinema out there like this, and it felt so dam real! but at the same time mocking the hollywood cinema kinda horror films, absolutelly superb film. i particually liked the title sequence, with the hardcore metal music coming on non-diategic, while you watch the family listen to opera music, so genius.. i really liked it, i need to see more films by this director, any recomendations? i hadn't heard about "hidden" what is it about? is it art house release sorta thing? i may go see it.

Films by michael heneke (i always get confused how to spell his last name)
Benny's video, (a teenage boy lives through the recorded images from his camera especially one showing a pig slaughtered at a farm.)
Funny Games, (you know all about that one)
Code unkown (been a while since ive seen it but multiple stories intertwining)
The Piano Teacher (a 30 something quiet woman piano teacher has emotional and sexual problems)
Cry of the wolf (the name is something like that but i havent seen it , it is set after some sort of nuclear war or something and deals with the survivors.
Hidden ( hard to say anything about it really i wouldn't want to spoil it but basically a guy starts to recieve videos taken from across the road of his house along with strange drawings)

I know someone else has mentioned das experiment as a good film, i caught it late night one time and it is amazing. That was probably me, mate. My fave film. Downfall (Der Untergang) is worth a butchers too, from the same director. And that's coming from someone with a pathological aversion to war films.

DIG! is really great.
I'm not a fan of either band but its not exactly about the music. Its following these two bands (who are like best mates) for 7 years as the Dandys go from nothing to worldwide success and Anton, the lead singer of The Brian Jonestown Massacre goes crazy. Its really all about Anton and he is bloody hilarious!
Seriously, give it a watch, its well worth it.
Add OLDBOY to my list, thats fantastic!!

Sideways, Life aquatic, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Night Watch, Serenity, Broken Flowers, Wallace and gromit and so many more!! Just can't remember right now. Oh yeah Oldboy. But that wasn't 2005 was it? It'll bug me all night now till I think of more. Worryingly large amount of you liked Closer. I thought it was horrible. Probably shouldn't have said that being a newbie and all *runs away*......

The script just grated on me. I think film was the wrong medium for it. Only works as a play. Also I don't know anyone who would react the way the characters react. I think the womens roles were especially badly done. I just got so frustrated at how poorly written the women were. Such a mans view! But saying that I did appreciate it had good points and I won't completely write it off. I'll watch it again and see.

ahh i guess it could look bad from a woman's point of view. i felt it worked well on film (having not seen the play.) It really seemed very refreshing, like the whole time scale jumps, you rarely see on film, i liked it, very much. But i can see your points.
