the past few postsd have been very interesting for me. its cool to know about DVD sales, i didnt even know silver screen had gone out os business, and to be honest i'm not surprised. i always use play, most reliable i think, and ebay, is the cheapest around, but theres always a chance of being screwed over.

I used to use play a lot, but don't buy many R2 unless they are only available in England. I did use movietyme.com for ages, but not bought online for ages, no funds!

If you didn't know the sale is now on, I bought Barton Fink for £1.99 couldn't move in there for all the people so made a quick exit. I didn't get to look at all the movies but there are hundreds on offer ranging from £1.99 (I only spotted one other at that price) a lot at £2.99 and up to £7.99 (newer titles) but you'll have to fight off every man, woman, child and old granny to get to 'em hehe

I have to say that my favourite Jurassic Park, is 2! Over the top stuff, with a great T-Rex-in-the-city bit (bus nudging and dog eating). Although, if I remeber correctly, it also has the worst scene in cinema history in it (which in a perverse way, makes the film better).... is 2 the one with the gymnastics girl? Well, the bit where she does gymnastics in a shed and boots a velociraptor! Shit genius! Worst is number 3. It's more like 'Carry On Dinosaurs'.

Over the top stuff, with a great T-Rex-in-the-city bit (bus nudging and dog eating). number one easily shits on it.. the bit with the T-rex round the town resembles so many other un-original films now.. I think theres so many trilogies now where the first was amazin as it was sumthing new.. then the following two lost sumthin from the initial idea... examples.. Jurassic park, The Matrix, Blade, Scream, American Pie... many more..ha but it does work the other way too.. First came A new Hope, then a bigger rise to Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi. IMO.

I decided to get involved in all this HMV madness and went down yesterday. 20 minutes later I emerged, clutching...
Barton Fink - £1.99 To Catch A Thief - £2.99 Vertigo - £2.99 Citizen Kane - £2.99 Black Books 1st Series - £5.99 Phoenix Nights 1st Series - £5.99 Phoenix Nights 2nd Series - £5.99
I also bought Gregory's Girl for £5.00 at Fopp making it a nice little haul down in Manchester yesterday.
No, the only thing I'm missing from my Coen Brothers collection is The Hudsucker Proxy. How on earth do I go about getting that without having to buy the box set?

BIGMISTAKE i told my mate we should have seen shrek but we didnt.. and we regret it now, jurassic park 3 is laughable, predictable, and i can't even remember any good scenes... i do like number 2 it is a good film. whereas number one will always be the best, the scene where they first see the Diplodocuses, one of my favourite scenes ever, probably because they're my favourite dinosaur.

I see where you're coming from Kez, and I do see the first Jurassic Park as being the best film... however, Jurassic Park 2 is still my own personal favourite for precisely the same reasons as many others don't like it. 2 has the genius bit in the trailers on the cliff-top. Cracking glass, etc. I would say that that bit is as good, if not better than any bit in 1. 2 also wins against 1 by having half the amount of kids in it. I don't remember much about Jurassic Park 3 either.... something to do with para-gliding at the beginning. The bit I do recall, for being a painful 'Carry-On' style bit though is some T-Rex or other having inadvertantly swallowed a mobile phone. This 'sub-plot' culminates in the ridiculous bit where it creeps up behind the cast, but is alas given away by the ringing phone in it's gut.

Apparently in Jurassic Park 4 there were gonna be robot-dinosaurs who act as cops, or something. I think the script has been re-written in the last couple of months though, but here's an old (August 2004) script review from "Ain't It Cool News". ***GIVES AWAY LOADS OF PLOT DETAILS, READ AT YOUR OWN PERIL*** www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=18166
