Initially i thought it was Finn in the 'Tonight the Streets are Ours' video which wasnt directed by Shane but after a few viewing changed my mind, it could be Chanel in the 'Valentine' video with Shimy but with the 50's clothing and make-up its hard to tell. Yes Large he was in the Longpigs too. Dave im glad you ruined my potential for the longest thread featuring only one poster it was getting lonely in here on my own!

Ok so finally watched the documentary and not only is it directed by Dean Rogers it has very good interviews with Shane and Mark Herbert about the two music videos which Shane has directed Serious and Valentine. It is very obvious that Shane and Richard have become good friends since working together on the DMS soundtrack. Shimy is in the Valentine video indulging in one of his fav things albeit in a slightly odd costume/make up. The two videos Shane has produced look excellent and very funny hope we can get them on the site soon.

The plot thickens..... We got our stock of the Richard Hawley album today and credited as the director of the album documentary is Dean Rodgers! Is it the Dean Rogers Shanes mate and regular on set photographer who has also worked the Arctic Monkeys who like RH are from Sheffield. Its also produced by Warp films so this is a big coincidence if its not. Im gonna try and watch it tomorrow at work....

Ive been digging further and it looks like its true various articles about RH have mentioned that Shane has directed 2 music videos.
Also found this on the Warp site.
Following a hugely successful run of cinematic videos from top directorial talent, Warp Films has decided to launch a music promo arm.
Offerings so far include Richard Ayoade's insane video for "Flourescent Adolescent" by the Arctic Monkeys, a brutal clown gang versus robber posse bust-up in an East End wasteland.
Expect double trouble from Shane Meadows later this year, as two Warp Films videos he directed for Richard Hawley are released.
There's also Leslie Ali's video for Maximo Park's upcoming single, which is due to arrive through our doors any second (watch this space).
Warp Films are looking for music video directors with an original creative signature, who are passionate and desirous to contribute to building the Warp Films brand.

According to this weeks NME Shane has been working with Richard Hawley on some videos? for Richards new album Ladys Bridge due out Monday. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it a music video or documentary short?
There seems to be a documentary on the special edition version of the album but it is only listed as 'Now Then (album documentary)' could this be Shanes work?
Even if this is not true and its the NME talking bollocks you should all buy/listen to Richard Hawleys new album its excellent.

I know Dave recently posted Deans website on front page but just thought id mention that it has had some changes and additions. There seems to be a few photos from TIE that i have not seen before and dont think have been posted here. Also has photos from Shane's other films, Anton Corbijn's Control and Paddy's Dog Altogether.
Is Dean a close friend of Shane's or just a very good photographer that he has cleverly employed on all his films?
