aren't DVDs brilliant? must admit the first thing I do now is put on the 'making of' doc or the director's commentary - the making of Clerks is superb and with Shane's films both the commentarys for Romeo and DMS are fantastic - Shane & Paddy might sound like a shite Peter Kay spin-off but I reckon they'd go down well at our Labour Club just after the bingo. Theys got natural chemistry! Anyway as a new member of this fine forum I thought i'd take the opportunity to shamelesssly promote my own cultural/satrical/plain abuse website www.swinemagazine.co.uk and if Shane ever wants to do an interview with us for nish (we do it for nish so that's only fair) we'd love to 'get it on' er, duck! Some of my best friends are from Ilkeston - DLF! DLF!

Welcome to the site brasidas. I'll be having a good look at your site at work tomorrow... sounds like it could be fun. Just had a brief peek and it looks like there's some fun reading to be had.
Shane and Paddy certainly equal good value for money on the DVD commentaries, with a healthy dose of larks mixed in with interesting info. A good few people could take a leaf out of their book where commentaries are concerned. Too often a commentary is just bland, and you give up on it after ten minutes.
Looking to the future... imagine a commentary for This Is England! Will it be the whole gang having a right laugh?

nice one dave - i agree most directors commentaries are utter shite - i'll post the review of DMS i did for Swine up as soon as i can find it - basically the point is that its a story of redemption in more ways than one - both the story and for shane himself - really looking forward to This Is England - the Swine site was updated yesterday so there's loads of new material on there. is right (as they say round here)
