They were pausing all the time, like they were expecting canned laughter after every line. Made it feel really... unnatural.

Summer Heights High is great (I can only assume you think so too fattaxi!), wasn't too sure what to expect when I saw the trailers, but I like the fact that the characters aren't too over the top. Definitely beats Lab Rats by many many miles...

i just got into two and a half men....ooohh err.no seriously the earlier episodes are crackin anyone agree? Yep, I thought the show started out great -- the chemistry between the brothers, the supporting players, etc.. But in more recent seasons I think it's gotten a bit repetitive, and it seems to rely more and more on raunchy jokes.

i think the writers know its tired and just try as you say to rely on going as far as they can with the raunchy gags.still the only us sit com that makes me genuinley laugh though.

Have you seen the episode with Sean Penn, Elvis Costello, and Harry Dean Stanton (guest-starring as themselves) as Charlie's group of friends? That one has to be my favorite; I thought Stanton had most of the best lines, but the bit near the end with Alan -- trying to fit in with them, only to put them off by raving about Penn's performance in Fast Times at Ridgemont High and telling Costello that he prefers his earlier "angry, funny" songs -- is priceless. ;D

Anybody been watching Summer Heights High? i've been watching this...very funny....mr g is the star of the show.....mincing round shouting "there's a peadophile in the school..!" my particular highlight..... you've gotta admit that with this and the conchords the southern hemisphere are finally starting to pull their weight comedy-wise after years of utter tripe....

Love Flight of the Conchords!! Sticking with the southern hemisphere, I really like Kath and Kim too, their Da Vinci Code rip-off was odd, but in a good way.
