Surprised no-one has started this sort of thread yet. Kinda like the films, and video games one what cds (or downloads or whatever.. albums) are you listening to at the moment? I'm listening to: Deftones - Saturday Night Wrist which is absolutely awesome, some really amazing tracks which i can listen to over and over again, some heavey tracks that have really grown on me. theres also an awesome intrumental track that i like to chill out to. Man i love deftones and they've put a great effort in here. I'm not sure how i rate it against the other albums, but it certainly does well against them but yeah, great album. Also listening to Jimmy Eat World - Clarity only had about 4 listens so not really into it yet, but it sounds awesome really enjoying it so what is everyone else listening to?

That Gossip album is tremendous Lee, album of the year for me. Did you see them at Manchester Roadhouse last Saturday?
The stuff I've been digging lately:
Jarvis Cocker's new excellent solo album A Los Compasinos demo - sparkling new indie band from Cardiff, bit like a cross between Broken Social Scene and Hefner. The Rapture - "Pieces Of The People We Love" LP The Hidden Cameras - "Awoo" (Think Document-era REM) Suburban Kids With Biblical Names - "#3" (Great indiepop band from Sweden that are like the Magnetic Fields)

No im really skint at the minute and was still very very rough Saturday after i saw Slayer for free on Friday night. Real shame as they are a great band and the Roadhouse is the best small venue in town. Did you go? How was it?

Has anyone heard Kind Of Like Spitting? Because they are very good, the Death Cab guy drummed on a few of their tracks I think.
Another band to check out is Against Me! They play folky punky stuff with political overtones (but have a sense of humour with it too), it is very passionate and angry, and they are the kind of band that give you butterflies. They sound kind of like The Clash crossed with Billy Bragg. Their first album "Reinventing The Axl Rose" is a stormer.

Seth Lakeman - Freedom Fields Arcade Fire- Funeral Bonnie Prince Billy - I See A Darkness The Secret Machines - Ten Silver Drops Pink Floyd - The Final Cut Just a selection from the past few days, I love my ipod Agree about the Muse album, it's a cracker! Knights Of Cydonia is like some mad prog rock, spaghetti western theme tune. How can three people make so much noise? ;D
