Hey there guys and girls, ive just uploaded a short of mine to youtube.com but the quality of it is terrible. Which is the best site to upload to and with what settings? I would appreciate some help if anyone can offer it.

I had trouble to start with, but found this in the HELP pages:
What's the best format to upload for high quality? We recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio. Resizing your video to these specifications before uploading will help your clips look better on YouTube.
Just reformatting your video to 320x240 really helps alot.

Hi guys I use video.google and youtube as well but the best one for quality is www.livedigital.com I reckon.

i'd say you tube is the best, they seem to have a fgood tag system going, and they have a my space type community page thing started which is cool. i have posted the best settings in a different thread, i'll go get 'em and copy and paste them here for you BRRRB

Here are the best settings for web videos they always work nicely for me hope this helps VideoFormat: MPEG-4 Video Frame Rate: 15 Key Frames: Every 5 Frames Quality: Medium Data Rate Restrict to 600 kbits per second SizeWidth: 320 Height: 240 (half the size of DV) SoundFormat: AAC (AAC is a apple format, if your on pc, use MP3) Channel: Mono Bit Rate Format: Constant Bit Rate Target Bit Rate: 32 Precedence: Bit Rate Quality: Better Rate: 24.000 Kiloherts

I've got a short film some friends and I made last year - it is in wmv format - any ideas what to use to convert to a youtube-friendly format?
