I posted this one before under my old Big Al Fresco name... Did it well over a year ago (April or May 2005), and it's still the last thing I actually edited and put online. Come to think of it, the editing isn't really even finished. But it still makes me laugh when I watch it, for good and bad reasons. Some of you have already seen it and commented on it but some of you haven't. I can't edit the old thread so I'm posting a new'un (sorry Dave!)...
It's called "Bro" and it's a story of brotherly revenge. It doesn't make sense when you think about the story, but the gist of it is there. All the music is nicked from various sources.
It was shot over a couple of days with myself and a couple of mates, based on a brainstorm I had one morning. We talk about remaking it every now and then... But I've got a couple of other ideas I want to try filming first, including one that should be of interest to everyone here.

I liked that. Nice use of music... the training montage was quality, your mate would obviously clean up in a ruck! The Dead Man's Shoes 'what are ye looking at' bit made me chuckle

Interesting fact, flash - Brendan hasn't had a fight in his life.

Lol I like it good music choice for the film. Like the way the guy is looking at the pic of his bro when he says he is going to get him back.
Love the training seen that made me chuckle and it was really well shot.
It’s a bit like the 80s kind of old Van Damme stuff like kick boxer and blood sport.
Fight scene was real good as well, you used good angles to make it look good.
DMS music at the end lol!
On the whole really good little film matey.

A mate of mine does Pentjak Silat; he's never been in a fight either. Fighting's when the other bloke gets at least one punch in before he goes down All this talk of macho blokery and 80s Van Damme has reminded me - I ordered the DVD of Universal Soldier the other day, only cost me three quid. That's my Saturday night contingency plan right there. Now that film was more macho than starting on all ten of Arnie's bodyguards while opening bottles of Stella with your teeth and chewing your way through an ounce of baccy (Old Holborn - none of this namby pamby Golden V rubbish). Just out of interest, was that a real heart you used in the film? Real as in from a butchers that is, not yanked out your mate's chest

Yeah, it was a... Well, it was some kind of cast-off. Sheep heart? Something like that, we went to a butchers and asked for something vaguely resembling a human heart.
Dazza, it was kind of based on those old films about training and revenge, although we didn't watch any in preparation (which will be remedied in the remake!). Thanks for watching, all.
Brendan'll be back playing a new character next week in a new film - I hope!
