Shane, last night I read an interview you did were in you mentioned that you were sad more kids hadn't seen the film... I agree, its a bloody shame, so I took matters into my own hands... This morning I watched romeo with a class of unruly youths- might not admit that to my bosses- and even though they all announced that they liked either chick flicks or action films before the film began they were all totally immersed from the start... best bit about this excercise- for me not them- was that moments I hadn't really acknowledged as being breathlessly funny were immediately embraced by the kids... the line were morrell describes having his back broken 'right down to his bum' had them in hysterics- definitely the loudest laughs of the whole film... I also truly appreciated the films slap stick moments through watching it with the kids. Paddy's physical performance blew them away- every expression/ moment of body language was embraced by them (trust me, given this class, the fact they embraced anything at all was a small wonder)
