Top Job!! I love the randomness of the story and *SPOILERS* was genuinely freaked out at the end.*END SPOILERS* Good use of sound, nicely edited and well shot. I'm not going to go into the bones of it too much as I think it should be viewed knowing nothing about it and I don't want to give anything away...... the title tells you fuck all My only dislike was the bin bags..... you know what I mean?

Thanks very much! I edited you're post I agree people should know as little as possible before seeing it! Agreed about the binbags, nothing i could do in the edit stages! Ha ha, you can't polish a turd as they say. In hindsight a rather gay suggestion from Dave would have been better; this being have them topless. But on the shoot (it was rather rushed, getting dark quickly) I decided on binbags to cover the sort of normalish t shirts, which would have detracted from the piece. ;D thanks so much for the feedback!

Good idea Dave. Thanks very much for the feedback! And thanks everyone who contributed to the discussion about it, you helped very much. Really shoulda mentioned you all in the credits! oops, well, you know i'm thankful! Yeah cutting those reactions shots was a good idea. I loved the sound too, found it on one of those sound sites i got linked to.

Even creepier than before! Great to see the two versions after each other.
*SPOILERS* Excellent use of sound! ;D Using ambient sounds in the first half then switching to the wandering bass after the attack really accentuated the sense of confusion and disorientation. And the screeching during the masked gizzoid hoe down was incredibly effective.
Good stuff. You the next Hideo Nakata then?

I've never really used sound like that before, and it's great to see what effect it can have on a film. Hideo Nakata?! Ha ha, i've only seen Ring and Ring 2 and i didn't really like them very much! ha ha, they didn't scare me in the slightest. But i know they scare other people so thats cool, So i'll take it as a massive compliment! I like making surreal films, I also wanna make very realistic films too, like one extreme to the other. Anyway i'll stop rambling, thanks for the feedback.

Nice excuse to bump this thread! This film is showing at Strawberry Fair in the Big Top Tent in cambridge this friday! I'm so excited about this as i have never had any of my films screened in front of an audience before. I think its gonna be raining this friday though which sucks. Hope there'll be a good turnout though. I'll let you all know how it goes. I can't wait!

Helloo people, ha ha it was like 2 weeks ago now! But thought i'd let you know how the screening went. It was shown with many other films, mine was shown towards the end of a 2 hour show. It got a good reaction, one person liked to point out the obvious: "oooh.. he's lost his trainers" and at the end: "oooh, well that was a bit scary!" Ha ha. and it got a REALLY good clap too. You could always tell if people liked the film by the clap, the bad claps we're kinda less enthusiastic! Somine got a good long enthusiastic clap. Which i was happy with.
And thats about it! Don't think anyone added the myspace that was in the credits, and no-one emailed me about it, but hey-ho! I'm happy with a good clap. and just glad it got shown!

the programmer of the Strawberry Fair Film Festival is also programming for another short film screening fest at THE BIG CHILL festival! And he's asked if He can screen my film! yay!! Of course i've said yes, and it will be screened in front of a 200 capacity cinema! Is the Big Chill Festival a biggy? Like i've heard of it but i don't know much about it. I'm retty happy though, should be a lot of people seeing my work! Apprently the cinema it is being shown in is being powered by a bike?! ha ha. If you have films you can send 'em in too have a look at this site: cyclecinema.wordpress.com/

Okay, so i'm now on the 3rd cut of this film. (If you're thinking, "fuck sake ryd MOVE ON!" its OK! I'm shooting a new film this saturday. also shot a mini music vid the other day, just concentrating on this for my showreel) This one is a lot shorter, and you'll notice the other difference. Feedback welcome, prefer the old one? Love the new one? Never seen it? Impressive to a top film-making university? uk.youtube.com/watch?v=et8JMxsLM2w
