telling stories

shane... this is kind of connected to something you said about using film making as a means of exorcising demons.... if god forbid, you'd never committed your stories to film, is it fair to say that the stories you tell would still be told but in a different context... e.g. down the pub amongst mates? what I suppose I mean is- is their something that drives you to tell these stories that would exist even of you were not making these stories into films?
