just another annoying theatrical thread from mr kean. i've just finsihed directing a play by Anthony Nielson called 'penetrator', he wrote it back in 1993 and it was part of the 'in yer face theatre' revolution of the mid-nineties.
i'd be curious to know if any shane meadows fans out there have read it or seen it, it reminded me a lot of the great man's style. If you haven't i'd recommend taking the time out to read it [get down the library], it's kind of like dead man's shoes in a student living room with more use of the word c**t.
if it ever gets put back on again in london paddy would have to play tadge, it has all the hallmarks of a considine barn-stormer. maybe mr meadows could direct the screen play?

Yes a powerful mind bending piece of theatre it is. Having performed extracts at drama school and running parallels to Paddy's performance in Dead Man's Shoes I think his transition to MAX in Penetrator would be uncrannied, for the want of a better word. Instinctivly its easily within Paddy's range going by his performance in your film Shane. Definitely worth a look. His unexpected appearance would require a man with presense and an extremley unnerving one at that. The menace is astounding.

Although Tadge, on the other hand might also be a worthy consideration. Paddy's contained menace, is for me at least, was far more engaging that the out and out nutter.
