Hello, shot and edited this yooonks ago. Always intended on a second shoot, in another location, but never got round to doing it. was gonna shoot over crimbo.. but the girl who's in it, and sings the song, hasn't got back to me! So i wasn't gonna show you guys till it was done, but i dunno if it'll ever be done now! Plus shes gona and uploaded it anyway, to promote or something. Anyway feedback would be cool, also suggestions as to how i could get some more cutaways in (without needing the girl whos in it) would be cool. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wsYenFabQNs

He's the edit king!
Always like your edits... always timed to perfection in my opinion.
I noticed that during the instrumental break you repeat the same shots that are at the beginning of the video... same sequence and speed too for some of unless I am mistaken. Stood out to me anyway, I think it would be better if it was different.
You didn't really have any close ups of hands or anything similar.... you could probably get away with someone else's hands playing a guitar (seperate shots for the neck fingering and the strumming/plucking hand). Even close ups of feet might fit. To anyone who had seen the video before the inclusion of such close-ups the shots might seem really obvious, but I don't think a newcomer to the video would notice.
I also thought that the whole video could do with some kind of filter effect on it maybe to take away the video harshness?

That was really good, the song was catchy and you had it spot on with the voice syncd and timed to the video. Thought the video was well made too and I personally don't think you actually need to do anything to it. I thought that using the same shoot from the beggining for the instrumental worked well coz it was well done.
If you wanted it to stand out or be different you could put some kind of filter effect on it like Dave said but it was really good just as it is. Be careful what filter you use tho if you do go down this route use something quite subtle.

Just noticed the wristbands/bangles you need to accomplish the close-up strums! haha If you could get those though it would work a treat with any old hands! haha 'cut to hairy builders mits clumsily banging against the strings'

It was filler basically cos i had nothing else to work with... It will be replaced mark my words! I also think a grade is a good idea. Having just done it for Twilight Harvest (will upload the new version soon), its actually quite a fun process. I think its a good idea to keep it subtle as well dazza, wont go too mad! Thanks for the help guys! can always count on this forum!
