I hate funders!!!
I am in the process of getting my film financed and i feel like killing everyone involved in the dead ends i meet. I have been given excellent and brilliant advice from te majority of people but others... ergh, i'm having violent thoughts....
Does anyone have this problem and who should i turn to? I'm based in the midlands.

Funding is a nightmare, I rememeber trying last year. If you havent made anything yourself build up a portfolio of short films which is what I am in the process of doing now I have invested in some better kit. Is'nt EM media a funding body in the Midlands?

Yeah, without some films under your belt, its hard to get funding. Also there are issues if you are a student. There are sanctions placed on the funders that does not allow them to fund students. Have a good look into that.

I'm based in the midlands. Everyone goes through the same problems. If your film's not getting funded there will be a multitude of reasons. But remember, funding is ONLY investment. I shot a feature for £1,600 on a credit card, and it has gone on to get a US release. If you're savvy about things, talent will take you further than any budget. Tom.
