Location help and ideas...

Heya all,
I posted a recent thread about an interesting film I'm producing known at the moment as 'The Art Film'.
I won't go into details (as I've done that in another post!) I'm currently trying to find possible locations, its going quite well, we've had some interested but I'm still keeping an open mind about where would be best.
We need a piece of wasteland effectively, ideally something with an industrial feel to it, but are open to anything, privately owned or publicly which we can talk to local council about with regards to filming on it.
I was wondering if anyone on the board had any ideas?
We're up for traveling, but it would ideally be based in the south. (South east or west, doesn't really make a difference. The films based in Southampton so we're kind of in the middle...ish).
