That's the title by the way! Here - Click This To View!Part of my 'Ranting Reggie' series - the 'carboot sale king', this time he's trying to tap film director Shane Meadows for cash for a sitcom he's done - 'The Adventures Of Bosun Bill' starring Frank 'Captain Peacock' Thornton! This is based on some threads I've seen on Shane Meadows' forum where people do the "Please Read This" type of thing... 1. Join up in order to get Shane to look at their work.
2. Post once and say "Huge fan" etc. - try and get some feedback off Mr. Meadows etc.
3. Turn up again and maybe add to that thread they started without joining in with any others.
4. Disappear never to be heard from again! And so I thought of my character Reggie... maybe he'd take it a step further and make a video - really be able to get his point across and show how genuine he is! Does it work? Let me know - would YOU help support this man and his idea? ? N.

Would love to have that character in my next short if you're interested?

Genius! Some great lines in there man, 'The Gypsy Kings'! Did you write it or just freestyle through it? Would love to have that character in my next short if you're interested? Oh hey - now that's pos. feedback! As to the character - no probs. what do ye want to do - script summat and me do a vid, or you want to use the character yourself? As to the idea... part 'in my head' - part ad-lib... I did the 1st version yesterday and it was 10 mins. long - thanks to feedback from this forum re: that, I decided to make it shorter... so the 'Gypsy Kings' line was repeated... the comments about Kerry Katona = 'prostitute' were ad-libbed. That's sort of how I do these vids... I have the 'ideas' and then I let 'em go around in my head (often whilst stuck in traffic) and then I'll do the vid when I find the time - I only ever did one full 'script' in advance for one of my 'ventriloquism' vids - I find it's better to be spontaneous (a lot of people may feel that's what makes 'em so cr*p, lol). Had an idea for a new one which I'll do soon - "Alan Bennett - Pure Filth!" - basically, it'll be me doing an Alan Bennett impersonation whilst telling a couple of 'blue' jokes... hopefully in the style of Mr. Bennett: I'm a huge fan of his 'Talking Heads' series, and I reckon I can deliver... But we'll have to see. Again, thanks for the comments there! N. P.S. Here - would appreciate some comments left on the vid itself if you get chance.

I'm gonna be doing a short in early summer, i need someone to play the main character's dad-a brash 'tell it how it is' butcher who is a member of the local bridge club....a variation of this character would work perfectly i think if you're interested?

Afraid that constraints re: me job/travel/laughter therapy gigs etc. mean that it would be nigh on imposs. for me to travel... but if it's any consolation, I'd be happy to do owt ye have scripted to see how I'd do it - I'd do ye a vidlink, and then you could get whoever to have a go. Just that I'm ruddy booked up for stuff from now until Gawd knows when... plus I'm also starting doing some 'comedy rambles' with the local council... so my free time will be equal to zero! By heck, why couldn't the internet and youtube have come about when I were on the dole - I'd've JUMPED at the chance. Apologies - but if my 'compromise' is of any interest - let me know, I'd be happy to make a vid. N.

Your character would only be in the two scenes so would only need you for the one day....but if you couldn't make it, not to worry!
All quite irrelevent really as i've gotta write the bloody thing first!

Worse than Reggie then... he's not yet written "The Adventures Of Bosun Bill". Here... if it's one day, let me know when you've got it planned... if it's July onwards and on a weekend, I may be able to help out... I'll only know however after I've got info re: the 'Comedy Ramble' on 14th June as to how many more of them I'll be doing/dates etc. Apologies for being such a pain... at one time I had loads of spare time - now it's all ruddy spoken for.
