Hey up!
Sat at work, bored to tears, I've been searching the web for any well hidden titbits. Well, on YouTube, a short film director called Graham Higgins has just uploaded a film of his called "Pride". The short film has been taken from it's screening on Channel4 in a short film segment they used to run called The Shooting Gallery (I remember it fondly). The short film is introduced by a certain Mr Meadows! It seems that Shane hosted a whole edition of the Shooting Gallery going by what he says in the clip. I have asked Graham Higgins if he has any more.
Anyway, don't just watch it for the appearance of Shane at the beginning, watch the short film too, because it's actually really good!
Don't forget to rate the film and give Graham some lovely comments! It looks like he is very new to YouTube, so a warm welcome would be encouraging for him to put up more of his work!
I forget... but who is the Higgins that was Shane's ex-drama teacher.... the guy who plays Gavin's dad in A Room For Romeo Brass and plays Knighty's dad in 24/7. That's Colin Higgins isn't it? So not Graham then?

Just received a message back from Graham Higgins via YouTube. He says he does have the rest of that edition of the Shooting Gallery on VHS somewhere. Hopefully this means he'll be able to get all the Shane Meadows links from the programme up on YouTube! Graham also had an interesting anecdote to relay in his message. Apparently Stephen Graham (fresh out of drama school) auditioned for the main role in the short film "Pride" (the one you can watch via the link in the first post of this thread). He says that if he were to have cast the role on acting ability alone, he would have gone with Stephen Graham, but unfortunately he didn't exude the air of naivity which Graham Higgins wanted for the role. Pity Mr Stephen Graham hasn't visited the site for about year... he could have enlightened us further perhaps.
