Just to let everyone know, that my onset report is all ready and waiting to be uploaded to the site. However... the report in it's current state includes a couple of things that need to be cleared with the production department on the film. Currently, the person I need to get a response from is away on holiday (what with the shoot now being over).
Just thought I'd let you all know that it isn't my laziness causing the delay ;D , but something that is out of my hands.
Hopefully it will be worth the wait!

I spoke too soon there... looks like it's all well and truly sorted. Check out the "Calling any Cast Members" thread for details.
Expect to see the report on the site tomorrow!

Wow Dave that report was clinical, you should be a reporter mate you may be a good projectionist but I see a new career unfolding. Anyway enough complements. Its good to see Vicky Mclure and Andrew Shim back in the mix (Still think Vicky is looking hotter than the sun).
Jo Hartley looks just like my aunty Caroline did in about 1987 (speaks like her too). I was nicely suprised to see the bloke who plays 'Tommy' in 'Snatch' there too (forgot his name). Just out of interest is he playing his part as a Midlander or in his native Liverpool tounge or a convincing Cockney like snatch?
Oh yeah happy first birthday Shanemeadows.co.uk

Hey Dave, great report! Wonderful pictures too! Not so sure about Graham's new 'lack-of' hairstyle, he looks so much better with hair Do I have a crush on Stephen Graham, you ask? A small one, yes Oh well, hair or not, you can't take his cuteness away! Anyways, great report, I enjoyed it...Now I want to see the film even more. Hope you had a great time on set! Amber...

Just read the on set report Dave, fantastic. I don't think you have missed anything out. The photo's look amazing too. Shane and I are enjoying a two week break before Shane starts the edit. (Chris Wyatt who edited DMS is on board already). Anyhow, really glad you had a great day, it was a pleasure having you on set. I've seen the rushes of your scene and you were wicked. I thought you walked very well!!

Hi Dave, great report - your description of the costume truck "a very narrow branch of Oxfam" - class! If anyone is interested, "Ollie's cafe" has now been returned to it's usual state, a very nice volunteer-run cafe named "The Crocus." The volunteers and staff at the cafe were absolutely fantastic, putting up with having false walls etc in their cafe for several weeks - and trying to explain to misinformed customers that the products and prices on the blackboards were all 1983! It would be fab if any fans out there could visit the cafe and give them a bit of extra business (the carrot cake is excellent!) - they have a website too www.thecrocus.co.uk although that appears to be temporarily down this morning. Likewise, if you're in the Church Square area in the evening please visit Mr B's (chip shop in the film) for a kebab, and mention the film to the owner. They didn't believe me when I told them we were putting them on the map, so I'd really like to prove them wrong! Incidentally, I did solve the fireworks problem after your visit - I promised the St Anns kids that if they let us film in peace I'd buy them lots of fireworks which they could set off once we'd finished - barring the odd small squib, they kept their end of the bargain, so the departure of the last filming truck on the last evening was followed by quite a display! All the best, Richard Knight

Sweet I'll go for chips and carrot cake then, Maybe i'll combine a trip there with a quick trip to Riber castle/matlock to see the Dead mans shoes location. Cheers Richard by the way, isnt St Anns a bit rough?

What kind ov massive man giant are you dave? u bout 7ft tall? That's all done with green-screen effects work. There's plenty of effects shots needed on the film to get all the Hobbits looking as though they are smaller in stature. Err... I'm just about 6 feet tall, so not sure what is going on there. It seems it's true about theses film and TV types being a lot shorter in real life
