Although there was more than likely a place in the festival for us, We couldn't have made the dates without some pretty stupid sacrifices to the finished film. So, with a little regret (and a wry british grin) we have now officially rejected cannes and our aiming our pudding gun at Venice, Edinburgh and Toronto in August and September. Then hopefully release in late september. The film is moving ever closer to editing nirvana and although I have a great big beard and am wearing tracky bottoms 24/7 and look more like a arabic peasant than a british film director, it has been worth it and It's so close to the end I can almost touch mesen.
