Had the last screening today and am sat in toronto airport (maple 1st class lounge) pouring out tons of free canada light ale from a proper tap youth. Also making loads of cheese and olive sandwhiches that I don't intend to eat and borrowing pens that I will re-package as gifts for shimmy and vicky!
Been a cracking few days out here and even though I didn't manage to break into marks room and ram his bag with illegal produce and rare animals, I did have one of the best fests ever!
Should be back in the motherland friday dinnertime with series five of 'Curb' and a double disc copy of 'dig', which should see me through till peepee time.
It has been cracking checking out your responses over the last few days and I can't wait to see you all in London and have a rayt sesh.
Tipping is wank plus taxes,
Shane.

You should've pinched a job lot of pens and handed them out to critics at TIE test screenings. Not that you'll need to resort to back-handers to score brownie points, by the sound of things... Tipping is wank plus taxes? Tipping what? The velvet?

Sounds like you have had a brilliant time Shane! You deserve it after all your hard work.
What day is everyone going London? There are 2 screenings; one on the 31st October and one on the 1st November. Which day are people planning on going? Halloween seems the best option to me. It would be good if we all went on the same day, although the screening on November the 1st is only at 12.30pm so it might even be good to go to both if people get the time off. x

The 1st November one is easiest for me, due to trains home. But I've got no problem with either, really. I hope it doesn't sell out from BFI members alone (sorry Shane!). How big will the theatre be, I wonder?

I reckon maybe the best one yet.

Hi Everyone,
I just came across this forum when doing a search for This is England and thought I'd write a wee note. I was at the first screening here in Toronto, and it was brilliant! The atmosphere was electric, the film was wicked; we were just totally drawn into it. :-) Shane, congratulations on another excellent film ... can't wait to see you here again!

Shane daaarrrllling just remember - if you believe the good reviews you also have to believe the bad ones too. Onehelluva start though. Just don't ever forget the Tank Bullock that layeth within thyself.
Now where the f*ck do I get a ticket for that premiere..?
