I was wondering whether anyone has any good ideas for future updates to the site?
What sort of things would make good additions to the site?
First idea from me, is that I want to try and expand the short film section with more information. So, if anyone has seen some of Shane's rarely seen short films, then please let me know about it!

More of Shane's short's (Film's that is) would be a great idea ! How about an area to showcase short films and screenplay's? Because the film industry in Cumbria is a little laking mate.

I would love for people to showcase their short films! Just not on my webspace! Ha ha... I don't have the room! I have however included the MY SHORT FILM section on the forum to cater for such things. People need to upload their short film to their own webspace and then they can link to it from the MY SHORT FILM board. Doesn't look like there's much action on that board at the moment, but hopefully it will grow. If enough people have links to their own short films, I could make a page on the site to list them all with a short synopsis and a still. That would be good, but we'll have to wait and see if we get enough people posting on the MY SHORT FILM board. I may even have to resort to posting a link to a short film of mine if nobody else gets cracking!

I reckon you should sort out a Q&A session like once a month with shane, or just a section to talk directly to him. Or you could set it up so shane has an online journal or diary. I would also personally like a little sub-site relating to P-Lo from the block. Gaz

When I received the info for the .co.uk web address from Shane, we briefly talked about possible competitions aswell. A few different ideas came up, but as Shane is about to go full time into writing his new project with Paddy Considine, it's unlikely there will be one any time soon.
Hopefully we'll get something sorted for a competition at some point.

Where you at in Cumbria mate? In South Cumbria (namely Barrer) we have Shoreline Films which has tonnes of free courses and a plethora of experience and more than capable folk. In case you don't know: www.shorelinefilms.co.uk/And their more famous offering: www.britfilms.com/britishfilms/catalogue/browse/?id=D9CC70591b19b1E34DnSx3130B63As for competitions, the best thing would be something that will be ten a penny to Shane et al and that would be storyboards (if he uses them)....signed too. Then they could be mounted and tart up your shitheap of a flat.

This was kind of in the links section.... but that section seems to maybe be the wrong place perhaps... plus I haven't kept the links bit up to speed really. Perhaps I should expand the film pages to include absolutely everything related to each film. Including all the links to articles elsewhere on the internet. The pages could get choc-a-block though and a bit confusing. I'll have a thinky.

I think the short film idea is a belter, think there's a lot of talent on here, and would be good for people visiting the site to be able to get a chance to look at some of our shorts...i think anyone that is a fan of Shane's work has an interest in short films too....
An occasional Q+A with Shane and his many collaborators....Mark Herbert, Paddy(?!?) Andrew Shim, Tom Turgoose etc. would be cool as well.

(cannot believe i just used the word 'catalouging'... i must be getting old if such things excite me)
