Not sure if anybody on site knows the early 70s Richard Allen books on Skinheads (much beloved by Julie Burchill, who's a similar age and similar background to me)? I read a few of them when I was a wee girl and thought they were brilliant. Anyhoo, if anybody's interested in these as a document of cultural/youth history they're still available on Amazon-though the first one is pretty expensive (about £20 second hand). Wonder what I'd make of them now........ ...I still have "Suedehead" but alas the rest of the series must have been lost in the various house moves, spring cleaning etc.. that have occurred over the passed 27+ years since my skinhead days .. cripes is it that long ago that I was walking about in my bleached jeans, 10-hole DM's, Crombie and Ben Sherman!!!

WoS was/ possibly still is on YouTube split into 6 parts. I have the Combat 84 Docu which is vaguely interesting and I also have Oi for England which is complete and utter garbage, makes very little sense, especially the ending, the worst skinhead orientated 40 minutes ever!

I think it was called Oi for England? If my memory serves me correct someone out of drop the dead donkey was in it? I would love to find a copy of this as I can remember virtually nothing about it and am not even sure if I saw it? Any shipmates??? Hi all, Im a brand new member (Skinhead for 27 years and counting) and been enjoying the threads ;D. Shane I have a poor quality copy of Oi For England that I put on DVD. If you still want a copy then by all means PM me a PO Box or production company address and it will be winging its way from the North East within 24 hours. Yes it did indeed feature a dodgy guy in a white suit who was trying to manage the band. I forget his name but he appeared as the Italian captain in Allo Allo before featuring in Eastenders.
