I cant believe it's took me this long to come on here and praise Shane for making an outstanding film. Dean mans shoes knocked me off my feet and after that I thought any film Shane would make would be "OK", but not on a par with Dead man. But this is england stands!!! Boy those it fucking stand. Thomas Turgoose!!!!!! In august this year my partner will be giving birth to our first born and if it's a lad Thomas is the name we'd like to give it. Since seeing that little screen gem knocking me for six I'll defo be giving my boy the same name. That kid just had me from the opening scene and took me on "His journey" for 90-odd minutes.
And as for Stephen Graham. When I close my eyes at night, his is the last face I see. And that can ever by a good thing.
This is england is the best film of 2007. (along side 300)

That's what I was thinking.... 300 is alright if you're in the mood for men in pants slapping each other in slow-mo for 90 minutes, but that it's anywhere near as good as This Is England is crazy talk! I did enjoy 300 though... mostly for the slow-mo rather than the pants.

Andrew I only just saw Romeo afew week back and boy did that film stay with me. Your a cocky little sod! And to hold your own up against Paddy you should have been awarded.

I think us regulars take it all for granted now, which is quite weird. There have been a few actors and crew on here. Some regularly like Jo Hartley, and others maybe popped in once or twice to say hi... Paddy Considine and Stephen Graham for example. That they visited at all is amazing! If you want more Paddy comments, head on over to www.paddyconsidine.co.uk and you will see Paddy is often on the message boards there.

Ta Dave. I joined Paddy's page last week. This is great. There arnt many place's you can come and speak to the people involved. There's been many a time I'd loved to shake someone's hand because they made a film that changed the way I thinked about thing or just made me laugh and gave me an entertaining 2 hours. And to be giving the chance to tell everyone involved that they made a film that they should all be really proud of. I'm a up and coming film maker myself and watching what Shane does as really made me think about how to approache tryin to get to where I want to go. Here are some films I made. www.myspace.com/punkchurdlung Enjoy Dave (But dont be offened) LOL
