From the Everyman eNewsletter:
On Friday 27th April we will screen forthcoming British film ‘This is England’, a semi-autobiographical tale from writer/director Shane Meadows, described by Variety Magazine as containing ‘knockout lead performances’.
A sharp and powerful examination of the dark side of 1980s Britain, ‘This is England’ examines the racism and thuggery bred amongst a disparate and angry culture of male youth.
After a screening of ‘This is England’, audience members will have the chance to debate the issues raised by the film with actors Andrew Shim (Milky) and Stephen Graham (Combo), in a Q&A hosted by journalist Amanda Palmer.
