I've been projecting This Is England today at the Watershed in Bristol. First show had a respectably sized audience, but the second show at 8.40 sold out! Nice one.
Hope it's doing this elsewhere too. About time I say.
I dread to think how many times I will see the opening sequence now that I am screening it. Once I've started the film, I can't tear myself away from that opening!

Just got back from the Cornerhouse in Manchester. The 6pm showing was half full but the 8:40 one was sold out in advance.

Happy Days this film needs to be seen and anyone who doesn't like it or feels something from it isn't worth a kick in the bollockos!

If the film does well over the weekend, then all the short-sighted multiplexes will sit up and take note. Those money grabbers will show anything if there's money it.... so fingers crossed!

One thing that was noticeable - my daughter seemed to be the only 15 year old in the audience.. hopefully more youngsters will take advantage of the Watersheds 15 cert.

Wow....went to see This is England at Cineworld in Birmingham on Friday night!! Bloody awesome film. I rekon the cinema was about three quarters full and everyone seemed to really enjoy it....they all laughed and ooooo'd and ahhhh'd in the right places. Great to see Shane on the South Bank Show too last night which included some shots of Uttoxeter, my home town!! Liked the use of the word 'ace'....i still try to actively encourage it, ha ha!! Just wondered who were the teachers you spoke about that supported you Shane?? I do remember nervously doing a public speaking competition at Alleynes about boxing and you coming up to me afterwards to say you liked it......as Prince Harry woud say....I was Sh#tting myself!!!
