Hey emma which is your nearest cinema ? Ive heard that some cinema's are now banning the film How silly is that due to its entnic minority issues. You cant even watch a film nowadays thats about our f**king country because of skin colour !!! WTF is the world coming too !!! It just portrays real life events which happened in 1983 (?) rant over - and i dont mean to offend anyone

Hello
I watched it at Cineworld, Broad Street, Birmingham. There was a small audience at the 6.20 pm showing. Don't know about the later one.

Hey Shane,
Just wanted to thank you for sorting those tickets out for Saturday night for me and Charis. Much appreciated. I totally loved it, it was beautiful and brutal and very compelling viewing. Can't wait to see it again.
Cheers, Tom

Thanks for your post Dave. I have had no luck trying to find a cinema in Gloucestershire that is showing TIE. After seeing your post I looked up Watershed and manged to get a couple of tickets for Tuesday evening. I'm sure it will be worth the 80 mile round trip

It looks bloody great. No worries with cack-eyed projectionists playing the film out of focus or slightly on the soft side! haha If you look up at the projection room portholes and see someone.. it'll probably be me!

Ive heard that some cinema's are now banning the film How silly is that due to its entnic minority issues. REALLY??? Do you have any links to such news on the web? Welcome to the site too. Cheers for the welcome Well basically, my local cinema which is the showcase in walsall were screening the film as my dad's mate went to watch it there. Looking on the site now at all the times and release etc, there is no sign of "this is england" being shown at all. I'll say this but i hope to god i don't get criticised or judged for it. If you have ever been to walsall then you would have seen that the majority or people there are asians. They are trying to get it banned from the walsall area because they feel they are being discriminated and that if people go to watch TIE then it will be 1983 all over again. Thats basically why they are banning it !! Like me and my dad were saying the other night, we cant even watch a film no more in our own f**king country because people are scared about upsetting other ethnic minority groups !!! All it is, is the truth

Are the 'asians' really trying to get it banned....?
It would seems strange that people think the film would encourage racism when in fact the film has been made to show how disgusting said racism was/is.....
Is this the point the BBFC was alluding to.....?

Hows about leaving the speculation of anyone trying to have the film banned alone until theres actual evidence of it occurring?
Everyone has a right to an opinion.
