Top film Shane reminded me so much of growing up in Staffordshire and its nice that the film is set in 1983 the year I left school. Slightly amazed there were no scooter riding skins in the film though

I said the same thing in my thread. seemed like an odd P200E or a Rally should have popped up somewhere. Maybe in part two Shane will put some scoots in. This film I believe deserves a part two, there is a lot already there for a second bit, yeah? So long as it isn't "Americanized" and popi-fied it will be swell. Remember, most scoot riders in the us of a are fucking rockers, wannabee mod.

They certainly weren't mutually exclusive in the 80s over here though? And I'd bet that 'This Was England' or 'This is England Again' or 'This Aint England' won't happen! The Story has been told.

Excellent film Shane, Can relate alot to it, as i was a wee 13yr old newbie skin back in 83. But yeah, would've been great if there was a few scooters in it. As there was only 4 skinheads in the town where i grew up in, we hung around with a group of Mods n a few punks. (Still do) But Scooters were a big part of our life then (Still is), Im a member of Celtic Soul Scooter Club, Ireland. Would be nice to see a scene of a scooter rally in the new movie. Scooter Skins r still keepin the spirit of 69 alive n well. S.H.A.R.P.

Alright walt, thought the lack of scooters was missing but scooter skins were a small part of the actual skinhead scene in the eighties and alot of Skinheads regarded the scooter skins as wanabee mods as I know through my own experiences .

There weren't many scooters in Uttoxeter in the 80's. The guy that I suspect Combo is based on had a nicked PX and then a lamby chop. I bought a cutdown off another skin that may have influenced one of the characters in the film but it was in bits - not on the road. So I guess Shane didn't see much of the scooter scene around Utch - he might have seen more if he spent any time in Burton around the courts on a Saturday morning or in the Loco or Blue Posts.

But still, in the movie world, there can be scoots. hell, combo could drive around in the Delorean if Shane wanted to add that into the story. hey, I know Steve at Granmotosport scooters in the west midlands, anyone know him?

Lambretta's are more beautiful. I was up at Whitby over the weekend and there was the scooter rally there. I took some pics.

Quadrophenia remake!!! ;D Well not really but I am sure another iconic cult film in the making. I can not get enough of this so real to life story line's and issue's. As for the scooters stearling! I had a vespa 50 special in 1982 with crash bars/mirrors back rest ect slow as a snail but looked the job, Thought i was A1 on it will be nice to see some on the telly again.
