Hi Jo
Good to see you're in Bristol for the Encounters festival. I was hoping Shane would be there (was advertised as such) but Dave said its now been cancelled. I'm looking forward to seeing Paddy's short and yours too.
I'm writing a thesis on Shane's work, with particular emphasis on place at UWE in Bristol. I don't suppose you would have 5 minutes on Thursday 22nd to have a quick chat about your experience on the films? It would be invaluable. If not, no worries, I bet your fully booked over the 2 days. Hope to say hi though.
Cheers
Clair

Hi Jo I had the immense privilege of walking in your wake yesterday! I was at the Spaced event at the BFI and so were you! My partner and I where heading towards the other bar as the one closest to NFT1 was chokka and you and a friend were walking right in front of me! Just as I was plucking up the courage to say hello you veered into the VIP lounge. A lucky escape for you! ;D So you're a big Spaced fan too? It was a fantastic experience watching it with loads of other fans and the Q&A was awesome. I was over the moon that Ada made it! Shame Jessica Hynes couldn't have been there. Funny video message though! I got talking to a couple of lads from Nottingham there who turned out to be big Meadows fans too! They were very excited when I told them I had spotted you! We got the very last Midland Mainline train back to Derby and I had the very last free cup of tea! All the best to you and "Tyres" with your radio series!

Hello Chromebaby, What a shame, you should have shouted me, would of been nice to say hi. Yesterday was slightly legendary! Never been a fan until i met Smiley, then i thought i should have a look at it. My mate baught me the box set 2 yrs ago and i kept meaning to watch it but never quite got round to it. What an amazing event. I was with my agent Theo, who is the sister of Nila Park the producer, Theo also plays Amber. Ive met Nick Frost before at Smileys wedding, but it was really lovely to meet the rest of the cast. Simon is very cool. I rang Smiley in the afternoon, as he was in Scotland, to let him know how popular' Tyres ' was when he first appeared! I loved that ep. The scripts are so so clever and it is flawless. The NFT is great, as i was scanning the pics up on the wall near the green room, i spotted a couple of legends. There was many pics...... Dustin Hoffman, Jude Law, Bob Hoskins, Gael Garcia Bernall,... then 4th down the line Uncle Shane and Mr Tomo - What a lovey pic it is of them both, really smiley and happy - brought a little tear it did!!! All in all a great day,.. i had to stay to the end, i was addicted, so im officially a SPACED geek now. Take care, all the best Jo

Hello Chromebaby, What a shame, you should have shouted me, would of been nice to say hi. I will next time! ;D I just needed one more pint of Cobra in me and I would've squeaked a hello to you. I'm just too darn shy. I didn't realise that was Theo Park you were with! Amber's legs no less. Now I feel doubly privileged! It was a great day and I'm still buzzing from the experience of being in such close proximity to a load of very talented people I've admired from afar who've enriched my life over the past ten years! Cheers!

I'm glad someone linked this thread to the Spaced forum, we thought we saw you on Saturday Jo - wanted to say that we loved you in Shanes films - but felt similar to Chromebaby in that we didn't want to bother you.
The green room there sounds amazing!
Looking forward to seeing your short films,

Hi Jo,
I'm a writer currently in development with EM Media on a couple of projects. Got another script that I'm in the middle of also - it's going to be around 60-minutes long. I'd love you to read it, I think it'd be perfect for you. Is there any way I can get it to you through your agent or directly to you?
Would yoube interested in taking a look? If you'd like me to email you a short synopsis that's no problem.
