Billy Whizz-cherry lips and floral gums were my all time favouriteS! My son loved palma viloets but at 2 couldn't pronouce it and they are now known as purple pilots! What about toasted teacakes? Also who remembers when space dust first surfaced? My favourites are toffee bon bons or sherbert pips.

Do they still do those fish and chip/chicken and chip (weren't there a couple of other flavours as well?) crisps? I reet fancy some. I remember the fish and chip ones. They were more like biscuits than crisps weren't they? Yeah you are right, they were in a smallish bag, halfway between crisps and biscuits p.s parma violets is like eating soap

No clue about the Gremlin drink! haha.... but were Hedgehog crisps not just a brand name. I thought they were just like "Hedgehog Crisps: Cheese and Onion Flavour" etc Were there not also little puffs that were supposed to be little pigs? haha

Someone mentioned cherry lips before. They always tasted of perfume or something. What about those candy necklaces or candy watches?
And Piglet crisps, baked bean flavour? I think they mutated into puffs. The crisps I mean.
Fucking hell, I nearly forgot candy 'Superman' cigarettes, complete with red glowing 'tip' too. God, the Daily Mail brigade would have a field day with that one if they were out today, wouldn't they?

I loved those candy necklace things. Although at school people used to bite a bit in half and pull the elastic back with their mouth and catapult the bit left at you. It stung quite a bit.

choc dip is a great shout, you just had to eat all the biscuits with just a touch of choc on em so you could tongue out the remaining choc at the end....(leave it...).....
I also remember double dips, complete with swizzlestick for dipping.......
Do you mean the bubble gum that came in like a small toothpaste tube ....?

"The almost mythical SPLICER" To recreate a Splicer, eat all four of the original flavour Opal Fruits ( or Starburst to younger readers ) at the same time......honestly.

I loved those candy necklace things. Although at school people used to bite a bit in half and pull the elastic back with their mouth and catapult the bit left at you. It stung quite a bit. A few things being mentioned are still around today... like those candy necklaces. All I remember of those necklaces was that they were too much work for the sweets you managed to gnaw off of the elastic. The awkward crunching and gnawing would equal loose drool, and most kids seemed to end up with an elastic rope drenched in gob, stained by the colour of the candy hoops that were once attached. Unpleasant.
