The Gum in the garbage pail kids and Muscle men was shite, dusty pink stuff that was more bitty than chewy. Still top, better days back then. Better and more importantly the sweets were BIGGER and we didn't all get fat then. We used to climb trees, carry stick guns through nettles and break our arms in the 80s.
I've just remembered a sweet like the non fizzy cola bottles but bigger and actually beer flavoured! Top bollocks to that one.

Slightly off target here but used to love buying ice cream from the ice cream van. Screwballs, oysters (like an oyster shell wafer with ice cream), Blobs (ice cream cone with a rocket lolly in the top), lager and lime lollies, orange drink on a stick, cornettos as a special treat,
Them were the days

Good call on 'Marathon'. Anyone remember...
Texan. Nutty Bar. Space Dust. Banjos. Cabana. Delight. Tiffin. Treets. Pez. Whistle Pops. Fry's Five Centres. Spira. Ruffle.
No? I'm off!

Only just seen this thread - the above post - YES! CABANA - not many folk recall them - I loved 'em... Bounty but with cherry! And haven't 'Wagon Wheels' got smaller - out of order!!! Anyone mention 'Candy Lipstick' - oh for those far off days when eating a certain type of sweet would have yer mates calling you a 'bummer'. Another classic - "Germolene Bubblegum" - RANK stuff, and had 'smiley' transfers in 'em (which you could stick on your tongue and make it go blue and yellow, so you could pretend you had 'The Mange'). 'Spanish Gold' was another - the shredded coconut tobacco substitute. Mojos/refreshers/'Bandit'/'Viscount Biscuits'... Sorry if I've repeated any you've posted, been flicking through... God, I'm hungry now! N.
