Just seen This is England at Tyneside Cinema in Gateshead (their temp home till Pilgrim St site is re-furbed).
Fantastic film.
Beautifully performed and directed. Really makes the links between emotional psychology and politics. Great use of music. Gripping, intelligent, funny, looked great.
Faultless.

I can only agree. It's a masterpiece, and easily one of the best british movies I've seen this millenium....actually, ever. Shane Meadows is brilliant, and so was the rest of the cast, especially of course young Thomas.
