Welcome to the site Craig.
At the moment there definitely isn't a script book commercially available for This Is England. Because of the way Shane works, I would suspect that what we see in the final film only matches the final script in the most important plot points. The dialogue will have been heavily improvised and parts of the story will have been expanded or reduced on the fly. You can see this from reading the 24/7 script book which has quite a lot of differences (I've not read the Romeo Brass book) and Shane often describes the way he works as being a continual process of revision. I think I recall something on the commentary of Romeo Brass where Paddy and Shane mention something along the lines of: After the first 3 days of filming we never looked at the script again.
Good luck with your project, but you may be better off going for one of Shane's films for which there is a script book available... 24/7 or Romeo Brass.

There's probably an "official" script which would be a transcript of the film. These are normally a requirement for foreign distribution (subtitling/dubbing purposes) and I think they are submitted for awards as well. I recall there being a bit of hoo-ha a few years back when Mike Leigh was up for the Oscar for screenwriting Vera Drake, which didn't have a shooting script.

Thanks for the help. I didnt think i would get away with using Shane's work for my analysis as like you said he doesnt really rely on the script (one of the reasons i like his work). Managed to do a script analysis just from watching the film and it seemed to work luckily, my lecturer seemed to like it.
Thanks again, Craig

Yea, There wasnt really that much of a script.
Though the other day I decided it was time to get rid of practically everything in my room except my bed, tele and some socks and stuff.. and i stumbled across my original script for the film, entitled 'BullDog'.

I quite like how "some socks" are ranked third in your 'must keep' during a clearout list Kezz! ;D
