Did anyone see the Emmerdale Farm special last night (9th November 2007) It was about the Dingles and 'This is England' got a mention from Joseph Gilgun aka Woody aka Eli Dingle.
I'm not a big Emmerdale Farm fan, but that took my fancy? He also mentioned after he finished shooting ‘This is England’ he went back working as a plaster and then he was recruited to play Eli in Emmerdale Farm. Funny how things turn out!!!!!

i saw that joe gilgun was once again cruelly over-looked at the tv awards recently - he was in the category 'most popular newcomer' but was beaten by that kym ryder off corrie......once again the bar staff at the rovers prove to be his nemesis as last time round he was pipped by the camp bar-man.....
incidentally in the same awards the jeremy kyle show was nominated for 'most popular factual program'........i shit you not......

Joe Gilgun is awesome, such a funny guy. Met him at LFF last year over a year ago now. proper funny and nice guy. Everyone should check out the "Dingles at Haunted House" on youtube, uploaded by Dave, theres a thread in the forums with links to it somewhere. tis hilarious.

Any Joe Gilgun fans out there will be gutted to hear that once again he's been ignored by the award-givers - this time on ITV's The Soap Awards. He was up for most sexiest man and villain of the year...(which I thought was odd cos I thought he had a comedy character?).....gail platt's dwarf son won it anyway....
Any of you folks keep in touch with Joe..? I reckon he's wasted on emmerdale (although probably quite well paid)....

TV awards are bollocks, anyway. The BAFTAs really, really looked like the special olympics.
Yeah, they've dragged that out far too long. It's ridiculous.
