I finally got a chance to see this film, after having seen the previews I thought it looked like it might be an indie classic. I grew up and live in America heavily influenced by the wide-ranging ska scene and the impact and importance of unity during my teen years in the early 90's, and even decades later than which era this movie takes place, the message it delivers continues to resonate. It doesn't matter which country, we all have the same root problems with racial tension and biased hatred, no matter where we are. Unfortunate as this is, I'm happy to see films such as this bringing these issues to the front burner in a visceral and real way.
All in all, it's a great film, and kudos to Shane Meadows, the production members and the wonderful cast for a searing performance!
I look forward to more films and will continue to support.

Nice write up, good to hear the opinion of an American! Well, interesting anyway!

Welcome aboard, ceph -- always nice to see a fellow Yankee on here! And spot-on comments about TIE. One of the things that got to me the most about it, considering that it was kind of a personal story for Shane, was how resonant and universal it felt.
