Hi,
Just wanted to let you all know how things are going here in Madrid.
Tomo and i are having an amazing time. We are being treated well. The distribution co. are very good, they have been arranging interviews all week. We have done tv, live radio (2 of the best programmes in Madrid), and many newspaper and magazine interviews. We have an interpreter who is amazing, so it has been easy to get through the interviews.
There is still a very big skin head movement in Spain and from what we can gather they are really pleased with Shanes interpretation of the skins. They love the music and the story.
We went to the university to do a talk and a lot of the students were dressed like the cast in the film, we took some pictures i will send them to Dave when i get back.
Each journalist has loved the movie and the distribution co. have been getting calls all week to arrange more and more meetings.
The boss of the co. is very impressed with our handling of the interviews, the information is interesting and we have both worked so hard to explain and be honest about TIE. Tomo is working really hard.
Tonite is the premier and party and ive just found out that tommorrow we have been asked to stay one more day, as the biggest newspaper in Madrid wants to do a front page photo and an interview with tomo. Its is very important for the promotion of the film, so we have agreed to stay and do it.
They love Shaun and all the cast, saying the film is well put together and well performed.
All in all again TIE is recieving rave reviews over here and its excellant for the movie.
We were told yesterday that the radio chose to interview tomo and i instead of Ang Li. They want the film to be promoted all over so people get to see it.
Madrid is beautiful, we have dined in amazing restaurants (they love eating), the hotel is well posh!!
Today they are taking us to the real madrid stadium for a tour.
Tomo and i have had such a laugh and its been great to revisit the film and for the response to be very positve. Its been a great experience.
Ill fill you in if anything else happens.
All the best
Jo and Tomo. xx

Good to hear things are going so well Jo. I was lucky enough to be working in Madrid a few years back at the same time England played Spain at the Bernabeu-great experience, though marred by controversy over racist chanting (from the Spannish, not us). If you get a chance, go to the Prado-definitely recommened!

Sounds like the film is going strong over in Spain and some parts of Europe whilst the media have forgotten the film here in Blighty. Jo, Tomo, ya both doing the film proud.

Good news, go forth and conquer Europe. World domination is in our sights even if subtitles are required in the States.

Hi Dave,
Ive asked for the footage and some copies of the newspapers. Ill forward to you soon. The film comes out on 4th Jan, so not for a while.
We had been asked to stay an extra day so Tomo could do a photo shoot this morning.
Its for the most important newspaper in spain.
They have a suppliment magazine in it and Tomo is gonna be the front glossy page. Last week they said it was Denzal and American Gangster. No flies. It will be good for TIE and him.
Home tommorrow and we both want to stay, its been brill.
Ill keep you all updated if there is more news.

Thanks Dave. Are all the Spanish film crew there having a sensible half a lager and Jo and Tomo are on non-alcholic drinks. I believe Tomo isn't 18 yet anyway. It just made me think about the binge drinking mentality of the British and wondered whether Jo was avoiding half a lager in case it led to a four-day bender. Typically British if this is the case. Imagine that as a PR stunt as the actors go through Europe. I could be totally wrong and maybe Jo is drinking a spritzer.
Nice photos, thanks.
