I think his name is mentioned by Combo at least once.... errr.. not sure if anyone else mentions it.

I think Shaun says his name doesn't he? Or is that in the deleted scenes?
As for who he is, Shane says he always remembers an older sort of guying hanging around in these sort of groups. So thats his character really.
