Question for Shane

First things first: Saw TIE this Friday on a recommendation from a coworker and it floored me. Brilliant casting and acting (y'all are a charismatic lot) - each and every actor. Beautifully filmed.

Sorry if this has been asked before- there are an awful lot of threads to search to find out.

So I read a lot of scenes and inspiration came from Shane's youth. So a question here- to the extent that it's possible- which characters were largely rl, what were they like and what happened to them?

And did the actors get to keep those gorgeous docs?

That’s a shame about the boots, Andrew. Those reds you were wearing were classical ;D.

And hey, thanks for the information- that’s exactly the kind of tidbit I’m interested in. The characters reminded so much of various people I hung around in high school- even though it was 10 years later and a continent away- that I just find them very intriguing.

And what an interesting development for those two, eh? Have you ever thought about what it would be like to meet your character’s inspiration?

I WOULD LOVE TO MEET THE REAL GADGET LOL, I REMEMBER SHANES DAD PASISNG COMMENT ONCE WHILEST ON SET SAYIN THAT I LOOKED LIKE THE REAL ONE SO THATD BE INTERESTING.
