Ok ...where do I start... Mr Meadows, ...I had seen This is England in my local video store a few weeks back..(Im in Australia btw) and as i was reading the back cover , I thought, now I wouldnt mind seeing this but I didnt rent it. As im a movie buff and Im often in the store, I decided to rent This is England yesterday and give it a go as Ive been really impressed with the quality of films coming from the UK as of late. I must say, this film was BRILLIANT! It was gutsy, the acting from everyone was superb and a very moving and emotional film and there was realism, which you brought on camera just perfectly IMO. Oh and Thomas was amazing! You should be so very proud of your achievement here because you deserve any rewards and accolades that come your way. I just joined this forum to tell you this hehe ;D...I was going to email you but thought I would do it this way. Youre awesome!!!!

Hi there, I am in 'The Young Victoria' - if you blink you will miss me though. Its one scene, one day filming. An important one, might i add. It was such an amazing opportunity to pass up. Great cast and a great story. Good for my CV too. I play Edward Oxfords Landlady and i got to dress up and wear a big wild blonde curly wig and a corset - ooops mrs!!. 1846 is the year. I play a cockney wench, I had to do loads of research for such a taxing role (i kid you). !! I met the cast. Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend (handsome bugger) are really friendly, i shared their make up trailer and they introduced themselves, very normal (just quite posh). They are both really talented. It was exciting as the Director Jean Marc-Valle requested me from seeing 'This is England', apparently his favourite film all year, he cried! i was very flattered as its such a big production and Martin Scorsese is one of the producers! Could not turn it down. Its sooo different working in a studio, i prefer real gritt on location stuff to be honest, but i shall have to get used to it. Take care, enjoy the rest of yr weekend.... jo

Just Brilliant sums it up !!
Shane certainly takes you through the emotions. The lovely, funny, cosy scenes with Woody and the gang. The tenderness of Smell's character, and the 'laugh out loud' line she gave (so funny). Then the jaw dropping moments with Combo.
This is England is such a incredible and powerful film...just awesome.
