Just had a look at the 16 for consent site. I'm very confused. Starts off going on about lowering the age of consent to 16.... so I was thinking, "well, it already is".... then I thought that perhaps it's a campaign to lower the gay age of consent to 16..... then I read on.
I can't work out what the point of it is exactly. Just seems like a campaign for businesses making 18 material to be able to make more money! Hahaha. I'm probably wrong though. ;D

Thanks for replying to my new thread. I have had a few people respond by telling me that they are confused by the message the site is promoting.I think i need to have it re-written proffessionally (any suggestions). yes,the purpose of the website is to campaign for the current 18 certificate to be lowered to 16 therefore allowing 16 & 17 year olds to purchase pornographic videos etc. Also to participate in pornographic films. In reply to some of the critisism,i cannot see any point in lowering the certificate to 16 just for porn movies but not ganster movies like goodfellas etc.If it was to be lowered then it should be for everthing ie cinema,porn and non - porn stuff. The point raised about the 16 year old being able to participate in sex but not watch it is a very valid one.  |

Haha (or not haha depending on how it goes).. but I was thinking the same. What is the point behind wanting 16 year old kids in porn? Is there a huge number of 16 year olds clamouring to be in porn, or is just that they are easier to exploit? But yes Shane.. a very odd stink indeed.... someone seems to want porn stars to look even younger for some reason  Looking over it all again, it does look like the whole certificate argument is a smokescreen for getting younger people in porn. |

Well seeing as I fit into this age group, I have to say I find this idea pretty disgusting. I wouldnt want to watch it, and I can get porn easy I'm not gonna lose sleep over not being legally aloud to.

Um just looked at the site and can see what you guys are saying l find the idea of getting 16 year olds into participating in porn pretty f**ked up Mike surely people are still innocent enough at that age and encouraging them to get into ADULT material I think is a big no no!
If people wanna watch porn then thats fair enough and each to his own but trying to get younger people involved in it I am massively against.

To this end i am seeking to form partnerships with experienced camaramen / women , soundmen / women,directors,actors etc possibly on a profit share basis.I have considered hiring / buying a canon xl2 camera (used on 28 days later) or another digital camera.Your comments are welcome |

Is there a big push for 16 year olds in porn? I remember a few years ago the Daily Sport did a countdown to some girl's 16th birthday so she could go on their page 3. That was weird.
Personally, I think we should raise the age of consent for things. Smoking should be 40, for example.

You have got it totally wrong mate The smoking age should be increased to 80 and the alcohol age should be raised to at least 60. Come to think of it both should be banned !. |

That whole campaign is without any express reason as to why it should happen, it just claims that it should. The whole business of trying to claim it will also allow 16-17 year olds to appear in non-porn 18 films..... eh?? There are so many 18 films with kids in... it's horror main-stay! So clearly that issue is not really what you're on about. Also just noticed what may be the most worrying line of the 'campaign': "This to include but not be limited to film productions, adult websites, adult dating websites etc" This is very dubious stuff indeed. |
