I see you were asking about watching some of Shane's short films.... well as Hyde has mentioned elsewhere, your best bet is disc 2 of Once Upon a Time In the Midlands which has 4 short films and some 'Top Tips' for film making... all in a package called Shane's World.
There is a link to the Shane's World site on the home page of this site (under TOP LINKS)... although all the video on that site seems to have broken down at the moment! Pain in the arse! I just sent an email to see if they can sort it out!

cheers, i've got the mdialnds dvd's i just meant if theres any more about like? to be fair i haven't got the smalltime vhs (cheapskate just got it taped off the telly a while back) so i'll get that for wheres the money....

Right i have some of shane's shorts on a dvd I made. Basically when shane came to our sixth form 2004 he let the media department have a video of some of about 5 shorts he's done: King of the Gypsies, Northern Soul, Gary Wilkinson, Macca's Men and 3 tears for jimmy prophet.
I could make anyone a copy PM if you want my address then you can send me a blank DVD and i'll send it back with the shorts on. You can play it any dvd player and it just comes up with a menu selection and thern just press enter and it plays like a VHS would. The quality isn't so hot because its from VHS so yeah.

Ohhhhh! Not seen the Gary Wilkinson one... what is that all about then? Twinee1983... there is also a nice compilation DVD that Shane made specifically for winners of a competition that was held on this site last year. So it's strictly limited edition! Not sure what Shane thinks about copying any of these Ryd.... we should find out first. It may even be plausible that Shane could allow some of his early stuff (the un-releasable shorts that feature uncleared music) on Google Video or YouTube, and then be embedded into this site! Dream!? |

Ah i see. Shane d'you mind me copying the dvd for Twinee1983?! or anyone for that matter? I havn't copied it for anyone as of yet, apart from for myself of course! ha ha.
Gary Wilkinson is probably the first SM short i ever saw. It stars Paddy Considine as a paper boy who lives off benefits but does a paper round for extra money. Really nice film about a comical and nice character. 'tis one of my faves!
