Hello to all of the fellow shane meadow's devotee's out there. I grew up on a council estate in Nottinghill gate,London. but now live in Wembley.
Wembley famous for... stadium and conferance center. nottinghill gate Famous for...The film Nottinghill. And first Area crack cocaine was discovered in London.
Nothing like the film but everyone thought it was so the house prices boomed, and crime went up due to the large amount of tourists and celebs that came into the area.

Too many wine bars, eh boy?
How the other half do live. In my corner of west London we're not fortunate enough to have wine bars. The average height for a male is 4 1/2 foot due to the food rationing and water contamination. Me and my brother work as chimney sweeps Just like my old man Who wears cor-blimey trousers And plays in the old brass band! ;D

Hemel Hempstead - dire town that no one had really heard of until half of it blew up 18 months ago (Buncfield disaster).
Good local youth football though, played with Chris Eagles (now Man Utd) and Lee Grant (was Derby but just joined Sheffield Wednesday I heard).
Left at 18/19 to move to London and now live in Harrow which is sort of half way between the two. (Actually closer to central London than Hemel but you can get to Hemel in half the time)

Reeto - here's me. Born in Wigan, NW England, and now live in Westhoughton - which is between Wigan and Bolton... for some reason, I have a Wigan telphone code, but a Bolton Postcode! To add to the confusion, I work in St. Helens (home of 'Dead Man's Shoes' star Gary Stretch). Oh,,, and to further confuse, I've recently completed some studies at the University of Chester... at the campus at Warrington! Confused now? N.

I'm from the delightful (ly boring, especially in this rain) county of Dorset, live in a little village called Fiddleford (seriously). It has it's own wikipedia page, other than that its not really famed for much.
Grew up in Walton on Thames, South West London (OK Surrey...hurrah for the hated home counties). This is equally un-famed, though again resorting to Wikipedia I'm reliably (hmm) informed that Julie Andrews was born there. Love that website.

live in a little village called Fiddleford Now that I'd be happy with! Sounds very 'Will Hay' or 'Two Ronnies' does that... I'd be chuffed with that as opposed to where I currently reside - "Westhoughton" - famous for... erm... oh yes - "The Houghton Weavers" if you know yer folk music... That's about it really - I'm surrounded by feckin' yokels, bumpkins, and 'country cuzzin chavs' here... you have to keep your mobile phones hidden, for technology as such would have you burned as a witch! To this lot, 'Pot Noodle' is new-fangled I reckon! Driving home at night, I feel like Charlton Heston in 'The Omega Man'... and speaking of which, the local shop sells 'Soylent Green' too! You see what I'm implying here? N.

Haha yeah I get your point! Fiddleford is OK really, just a bit boring I guess. Luckily there are no chavs round here! (probably because there is no nothing round here, though Dorset does seem to be a hub for pikeys...)
I have to admit that I am ridiculously Southern, my Geography above the London line is dire, albeit slightly improving since I've been at uni in the midlands (aka the North to me). Someone once told me were I to step foot in his northern home town, I'd be accosted with shouts of 'get your hair cut, you hippy/girl/fag'. This frightens me... is yours a town like that? Haha.
